weekly wrap-up: goodbye vancouver

This week was bittersweet for me.

I moved back to Abbotsford this weekend for good (for now).  I've lived in Vancouver for the past 5 years while completing my Bachelor of Science at UBC, and it was so sad to say goodbye.  While I absolutely adored living there while going to school, I know that it probably won't be practical to live there again (unless I get a super sweet paying job...haha).

I did my best to try and visit all my favorite spots, and soak in as much as possible in my last few weeks there.  This meant lots of lunches out with friends, and countless walks down to the beach to watch the sun go down over the ocean.

In the middle of Chinatown, in Vancouver, there's a beautiful little garden that's free to the public.  It's small, but gorgeous, and is the perfect little oasis away from the loud, chaos that is Vancouver.

I also went thrifting on Main Street with my lovely friend Jen.  There are so many wonderful and quirky shops and restaurants, and is one of my favorite parts of the city.

My mom and my Auntie Irene came out for a visit, and took me out for a super yummy lunch as well!  I decided to take them to the stunning Japanese garden on UBC's campus, as they're both avid gardeners, and all three of us were blown away by it's beauty!
(More to come about this later!)

And then I went to two different beaches on the same day....separated by miles of land, one in the North, and the other in the South.  Above, Jorica and I visited the quaint little town of Steveston, which looks into the Strait of Georgia.  Below, a few girls from my Bible study got together for one last hurrah before Summer to chat and play games on the beach of English Bay.  It was the best.

Goodbye Vancouver!  Hope to see you soon!
