weekly wrap up: goodbye summer

This week was a whirlwind of events, and I can't believe that it's somehow September!

If you saw our diy: photobooth props from earlier this week, then you'll know that I had a moustache themed birthday party last Sunday!  It was an incredible night, filled with friends, fun and a multitude of facial hair.

We had covered our picnic tables in butcher paper and encouraged all of my friends to leave little messages and drawings all over it.  I had a blast the next day looking at all the crazy drawings and funny little notes people had left for me.  A couple of my faves are the fu-man-chu-nicorn (above), and this cute little robot (below).

I also drove Kelsey out to Vancouver to get the keys from her sub-letters, and help her move some of her stuff back into her apartment!  It was so nice to have a mini-vacation....and to have some one-on-one sister time before she heads back for good.

We decided to walk down for some shawarma for supper, and passed by a hilarious wall outside a construction site.  Somebody did not heed the "post no bills" signage, and had plastered famous "Bills" along the entire length!

We couldn't help but indulge in some frozen yogurt at our favorite hangout place (Scoop!) near Kelsey's apartment!

This was our lovely view from the beach as we ate supper!  Sunsets are always the best when you're at the beach.

It's a bit bittersweet saying good-bye to Summer, but I'm excited for what Fall will bring!
